You see patients and do procedures. We take care of pathology for you.

These in-office labs for pathology are located in group practice offices. They are wholly owned by group practices to comply with existing legislation and Stark regulations. There are more than 118,000 CLIA-registered physician in-office labs (POL's) in this country.

With IOP, a group practice has access to our broad range of services. These services include: legal consult with your counsel, construction and installation of a fully equipped anatomic pathology laboratory, recruitment of pathologist and histotech candidates, arranging monthly compliance inspections and CLIA registration, credentialing, reimbursement, compliance issues, laboratory start up, a customized pathology reporting system, training of personnel, monitoring of laboratory operations and equipment and supplies selection. IOP handles all these details while you continue to see patients and perform procedures.

These in-office labs are wholly owned by the group practice and can be built and operational in about 90 working days from the time we get access to the lab space. The group practice will contract directly for the construction of the laboratory with a local contractor. Our architect has designed over 95 laboratories. We utilize the consulting services from the pathology laboratory manager at one of the top four hospitals in the US to do our lab equipment layouts for efficiency. We have experienced project managers to insure your lab is installed on time, on spec, and under budget.

Based on an analysis of the test menu to be performed in the new laboratory, IOP will select cost effective equipment systems for the laboratory and obtain a proposal from a quality national distributor for consideration and approval by the group practice. The group practice will contract directly for the laboratory equipment. You do not have to purchase any of the equipment. 100% financing is available at very favorable rates for the equipment, lab construction and IOP’s installation and technical services in about one week vs. 8 weeks from your local bank (if your group qualifies).

We do NOT have "day jobs" working for reference labs, billing companies or hospitals. We do not own a laboratory equipment company trying to unload equipment (used or new). We do not own a dermatology billing company. We do this full time as our core business. We created this business in 2004.  We have over 45 installations in eighteen (18) states in urology, gastroenterology, dermatology and multispecialty practices. We do it better than anyone else.
